UCLA YouthSource Partners with Baby2Baby Agency!
Linda Garcia, LAUSD Pupil Services and Attendance (PSA) Counselor at the UCLA YouthSource Center, provided 18 year old Jessica and her 6 month old baby boy with a baby bath tub, bottles, bottle warmers and wipes that were all donated by Baby2baby. LAUSD Pupil Services works in partnership with Baby2baby, a nonprofit organization that supplies families in need with essential baby gear and clothing for their children up to age 12. PSA Counselors have access to this organization to help support the students and families they serve.
Jessica is currently attending Belmont Alternative Education and Work Center (AEWC) and is working on getting her high school diploma and GED. Jessica has already completed all class requirements and is now studying to take the GED exam. Once Jessica obtains her GED/High School diploma, she would like to pursue a career in business or criminal justice.
LAUSD Pupil Services is in Partnership with the City of Los Angeles and Community Development Department. A PSA Counselor is co-located at 16 YouthSource Centers throughout the city to serve at risk students and recover those who have dropped out of school.
